Behavioral clustering is a method used to identify consumer purchase trends and group stores based on buying behaviors. Using data discovery to locate behavioral clusters you can build predictive models to automatically segment customers and surround them with content they're interested in.
In this video, we use Amazon as a perfect example of a retail website that surrounds you with products that they know you'll be interested in, based on your previous product searches. Once you add something to your cart, they immediately place related products in front of you. This effective "distraction" method is now possible for smaller companies which will not only help gain new customers but keep those customers coming back.
